I also have noticed this new spam trend lately. It started with some "too good to be true" deals on Macs. The other day when I placed a bid on a mobile phone on eBay, I get a surprise when I found 10 emails from supposedly other eBayers to ask if I want to get the same phone from them (very cheap of course). Now I am getting these emails on a daily basis, which is very annoying. I am not sure how they obtained my direct email address, or is it some bug in eBay that allows them to send email to me via the "Ask seller a question" when I am not even the seller! I have emailed ebay about this but have yet got a reply from them.
