Hi: I am writing this for a friend of mine who has seemed to exhaust all other options for help. He is a student plugging into the ECU systems using the set up on this page: http://southwest.ecu.edu.au/depts/it/mdmpool/instructions.php? ver=macosx&type=OS&title=Mac%20OS%20X
He is using an iBook with OSX Jaguar. He has trouble accessing certain sites-- the server just times out. The ECU staff don't have any answers for him, so any suggestions sent to me or the list would be welcome. The sites he frequents which are timing out are Hotmail, Bank of America, etc-- ones that *should* work. They seem to work from the ECU student computer labs. Also he has tried them both on Safari and IE. Any clue as to what he should be looking for or which questions to ask would be great!! Thanks! Nathalie
