The main thing is that Powerbooks will allow an the two monitors to act as an extended desktop AND also mirror where as iBooks will ONLY mirror their displays.

If you are used to extended desktops you will find it hard to go back unless you have a sizable single monitor.


There are hacks which seem to enable this functionality on some iBooks

Use at your own risk. Note that there is no mention of the recent iBook releases on the compatability page, although there is a post in the discussion forums which indicates that it does.
