Office 2004 has shipped to Australian Microsoft distributors this week
so you should see the new version in stores any day now.

I have been trying unsuccessfully to register my upgrade from Office
2001 to Office Mac v.X on line.
It requires getting a passport to the MS sites. I did this but when I
tried to sign in it kept saying the password was incorrect. I tried
using Exploder instead of Safari, still no go.
But I could use the password to sign in to Member Services and cancel
my account!
Anyone know what the problem is? I did not tick the box to say they
could share my email address with other sites but I presumed this was
optional.

Sounds like a typical ms bug really. Inexplicable.
Sorry I can't offer any advice.
Can you sign in under any other circumstances, like while using
windoze?
