I can confirm this. I still read several pc tech help lists and the
DNS unavailable problem is being reported patchily there. It has even
come up in the ABC's tech talk forum, which is a tiny backwater of
geekdom.
My own browsing seems to have bad patches either for a whole session
or part. Entering my isp's dns numbers had good and bad effects.
OS 10.3.4 with security updates :
I have always entered the ISP's DNS numbers .
I have not experienced this problem that I am aware of.
