A word a Day and Crash

I don't know if any of you people are subscribers to 'A Word A Day', 
but I have just recovered from a system crash where I lost everything I 
find it hard going to the Word  A Day site and manually down loading 
the entire Archives. Has anyone been saving them as clippings or other 
that I could copy. I just love words.

Has anyone out there retrieved trashed files in OSX.3 I have trashed 
some really valuable files that Norton in its new /dead guise cannot 
get to
