I must have missed that "no-no aspect", because I do exactly the same with personal replies that require a support response. My reasoning is that if someone wants personal one-on-one support, they get to pay for it, if they want fee support, WAMUG gets to benefit. Of course, if someone sends me a personal email as a result of a posting to WAMUG that has nothing to do with the support issue at hand, that stays private. On a few occasions where the line isn't quite so clear, I've generally contacted the author and asked permission to, or suggested that they, re-send to the list. So, for me it is pretty clear, free support = public, paid support = private. Seeing that we are a community however, what do others do/think about this issue?
