If only Commodore had someone like Steve running the show when the A1000 was
released a year later than the Mac. Full colour palette (4096 colours in
1985!), stereo sound, could be hooked up to a tv or a monitor, or using a
Genlock being able to put titles on videos. And that was just the hardware!
The OS was multitasking, slim and fully customisable, and also had a GUI
*and* a command line. A truly remarkable computer released by a totally
unremarkable company ;-)
Imagine if Apple had released a machine like that in 1984! :-)
