Thanks Shay

I decided to try Internet Explorer and got no error message, just a blank screen. I followed the 'Help Downloading to Mac' instructions on the site (which look pre OSX) and configured Explorer to use Graphic Converter. But although I reproduced what was shown in the illustration it did not work properly but gave the message:

Internet Explorer doesn't know how to handle the type of file you have selected.

You can choose to save this file to your disk or you can configure a Helper Application for this file.

MIME Type: image/tiff
File Name: 0098_0093.Tif

<CANCEL> <Save File As...> <Plugin> <Application>
UNQUOTE

It will allow me to Save.

The Plugin Folder it shows me is empty.

It will not allow me to select Graphic Converter or Photoshop as the Application (greyed out).

Maybe I need a newer version of IE, at present I have 5.2.3. When I edited the TIFF Helper applications I found they were set to Picture Viewer which is OS9!

Any advice will be greatly appreciated.
