Questions from WestNet :
"Does Retrospect offer a 1 step backup to FTP, or is it a case of
backing up with Retrospect, and then FTPing the file up for off-site
protection? Unless it's a fairly basic one step product, it would be
difficult to offer, because the support aspect would be horrendous.
If I understand .Mac correctly, it's an Apple service, and not
something we could offer (we could point customers to it of course).
Is that correct?"
They are listening to us.
It's a shame they don't have the internet at Westnet, I hear it's
good for looking things up...
Retrospect will back up directly to an FTP server. I wouldn't
classify it as 'fairly basic' as Retrospect has a large number of
options. The OEM version of Retrospect (that's bundled with various
products) might be more basic, but I'm not sure if handles FTP (or if
Westnet would count as an OEM for Dantz's purposes)
.Mac is an Apple service they could point their customers at

There's a backup link in the left hand column.
