Hi Everyone
Have any of you managed to connect your Mac to Optusnet ADSL Broadband ?
I have used Optusnet Dial-up for some years and found the service good.
Recently I decided my phone bill was getting too high and I
investigated the possibility of changing my internet access to
Optusnet Broadband.
I was surprised to learn that Optusnet does not support Macintosh.
The modem they supply (D-Link DSL-302G) is compatible with both Macs
& PCs but the CD supplied by Optus with the modem contains only the
Manual & PC Driver, They do not send the Mac driver which is
included if you don't buy the modem through Optus..
On the other hand, the D-Link web site indicates that if the ethernet
port is used, no driver is needed for Macs.
I am a novice in this broadband business and am somewhat confused.
I know I can change ISPs but I have been quite happy with Optus and
don't especially want to change my email address.
Or, is there a fix ?
Thank you for any advice
Regards
