I'd have to disagree with you on that one. BenQ was a no-name brand but has already developed a good name for its-self which will probably get better and better. I'm very happy with my 17' BenQ LCD monitor. I paid about $500 for it and have been very satisfied with the quality and haven't found any ghosting.

Something I noticed when looking at non-Apple monitors is that the max resolution often doesn't seem to increase when going from a 17' to a 19' so your picture quality won't be as good. This seems to be something Apple is doing a much better job of.

I was looking at LCD monitors with particularly low response times though (my monitor has an 8ms response time)
Any reports of ghosting on Apple monitors?

I'm a little curious as to why people would buy an Apple LCD when
other LCD screens seem cheaper. I'm sure there'd be reasons and
perhaps it may be helpful for other users to know them.

I'd like to know also, since I was told by a guy at James computer that the latest 19" screen was now just $500 (Benq I think - anyway not a no-name
brand).

Benq is a no-name brand.

PS Anyone going to the Star Wars premiere on Thursday midnight at Innaloo?

I'll be there in Gold Class... 9:30pm session.
