This documentary was just brilliant but reminded me of an uncle of
mine who
died on his last sortie over Germany, in fact when coming back from
bombing
Berlin. He was piloting a Lancaster and was looking forward to his
leave
after an arduous and dangerous shift. John would know much about this.

Yes Philippe,
I too congratulate John .... and he has my nomination for an Oscar.
I also lost an Uncle in the last days over Germany. He was a Rear End
Gunner on a Lancaster and was shot down over Germany.
