I don't believe this group encompasses Mr and Mrs Joe Average, who buy many more computers than us enthusiasts. I have to agree completely with this. Mr and Mrs Average just know they want a computer. They don't really care which one. Sure, they'll do their research on price and feature comparisons, but this will usually involve questions like "what software comes with it?" or "Does it come with a printer?", and their first stop will usually be the Harvey Norman / Officeworks / Dick Smith. Since their choice will invariably run Windows they don't think to consider alternatives, and they just expect that that's the way all computers work. The finer details are just too confusing.
