Great stuff ;-) > Thought you would "like" it :-) You should have seen the slaying he got on Slashdot..... But he does have kinda of a point with Microsoft. They are really dragging their heels with Longhorn, and other than gaming there has been nothing of late that really stretches the cpu. Apple are smart in the fact that they do release a new OS every year or so, and ever so slightly bump up the minimum requirements. If you are not an avid gamer on Windows, there is no real reason to jump up from the 1Ghz or so cpu you are currently running to a new 3Ghz cpu. (I don't mention those who use Windows for serious video and graphics, as I can't imagine there are too many out there that do ;-) I bet everyone has forgotten the little quote from Ottelini only about a week before the keynote. He pretty much said to steer clear of Windows of you want a computer *now* that is not infested with viruses etc. I can't imagine he was saying to download the latest stable release of Debian...... :-) Solid OS, but not ready for mum and dads yet. Seeya Rod!
