For those in the know,

with the intention that the A6 (102 x 152 mm) foto print is

enlargement
or does it not make any difference
It does not usually make a difference except for having to rotate and
manipulate it later in a photo editing program. Placement on scanner
could be important find a grayscale calibration sheet or just a white
piece of paper and do a complete scan. This reveals the best
placement areas for your scanner including which areas need cleaning/
dust removal a air hose works great, as these will show up like big
scratches when outputting that large.
More important is getting the maths right for scanning said image
with enough resolution to create an image of that size without
pixelating or colour variation. This saves printing time, storage
space and transportation of file as size will increase dramatically.
Lecturers famous words from Art School with digital scanning, Crap in
Crap out. So, get all areas of capturing tuned in with very good
quality artwork, and it should be honky dory.
