Hi,
I have been conned into upgrading a family member's OS from 9.2 to Panther.
Her machine is the last of the dual boots - iMac G3 500Mhz, 256 RAM. Carbon
lib
1.5 and ROM 8.3.1.
Is there anything I need to be aware of? Any firmware updates or just little
tricks that anyone would like to pass on?
Any help would be greatly apreciated. I have put this off for over a year
and have finally run out of road to hide on.

On that machine I think the boot partition needs to be *less* than
8Gb in size, and it needs to be the first partition on the disk. I
think this is mentioned in the Panther readme on the install CD.
