A very small minority have had their new machines taken back to
10.3 because 10.4 broke some very important applications that they
use (SPSS for example)
Which leads me to believe that SPSS is not the worlds best written
program. It broke when Microsoft released XP SP2 as well.
For something that doesn't really do much other than grab numbers
and munch them up, it certainly is fragile.

fragile and slack - no official communication seems to been issued
on the matter, but a post that seemed to be treaded as a semi
reliable source by other posters in a non official SPSS forum that
they hadn't tested it with 10.4 until AFTER the first user
complaints and that they were still 3 to 6 month off of releasing a
patch (that was April/May).
