Hi Peter,

that was a good idea to create a dummy account. I did it but the problem persists.

I'm still open to ideas.

                      regards
                      Eugene

Hi all,

this has happened before. Software update suggests updating security patches etc. After the update and restart Safari quits and refuses to work. Last time I needed to do a Java update to cure it. This time no luck. Any suggestions?

OS X 10.3.9
Safari 1.3.1

Standard Operating Procedure: create a dummy account and see if it works there. If so, it's something in your user account: most likely a rogue preference file.
