Hi WAMUGgers
My Software Updater tells me that new updates are available:
Quicktime 7.0.4, iTunes 6.0.2, Aluminium PowerBook 15 inch Battery
Update 1.0, iPod Updater 2006-01-10, Mac OS X Update 10.4.4
I'm tempted to update but have a dilemma. If I install QT 7.0.4,
which is needed to run iTunes 6.0.2, I will need to buy a new
Quicktime Pro Registration Key. I use QT Pro quite a bit for
school work. Any advice please? I'm not sure what to do.
If you already have Quicktime Pro 7 (any revision) you won't need
to worry about the Registration Key. It's only if you're upgrading
from version 6 or previous.
BTW - it seems the iTunes 6.0.2 installer downloaded by Software
Update is still afflicted by the problem shared by other recent
releases. It doesn't work (at least on my system). The standalone
(Disk Image) version from Apple's iTunes site works fine.
Hmmm, all software downloaded through Software Update and installed
correctly & works fine on my system Peter.
And my Quicktime Pro Registration Key is working also.
I paid for another Pro key when I upgraded to Quicktime 7.
