I think my biggest dilemma is that I can't read, or do Maths!
What's the difference between 6 and 7 you may well ask!
Ok I already had QT Pro 7.0.3, and the update to 7.0.4 has brought
no problems. I'm still registered for Pro. For some silly reason I
thought I had QT 6 and that this was a new major release. (Intel on
the brain?)
This may have been exacerbated by the inclusion of a statement in the
notes for QT on Software Update that QT Pro users will need to
purchase a new code. The note fails to point out that this can be
ignored if you already have QT 7. Apple could make this more clear.
The current wording is certainly confusing if read quickly.
Now not to panic until Quicktime 8 comes along. I've downloaded and
installed iTunes through software updater, also 10.4.4 and
PowerBook battery update. All seems to be working Ok.
You might like to read this though, brought to my attention on the
maced list:
iTunes has spyware?
