The IPod is not on, just connected to the G4 via the usual lead.
On the Ipod it tells me videos are in the VIDEO folder but when I
play them they are audio files?!
Is there a procedure for connection that I'm not aware of?

Just yesterday I connected my 30 Gb, 6 week old iPod to d/l some
music and updated it when the update message appeared in iTunes. The
ipod screen immediately went to a faint apple logo (no backlighting)
then a corrupted picture as soon as I clicked the select button, then
nothing....
After trying all the Apple recommended methods of resuscitation it
remained dead so its now flying over to NSW for repair.
I would be wary of the current iPod update.
