I had a HORRIFIC experience with the DLO Transpod for iPod 5G.
It's a brilliant unit, great sound (maybe better than the old Griffin
iTrip), nice looking unit, cool blue light, fits the ipod well etc etc BUT
one horrific fault for me.
It was in the way of my gear stick (80 series Landcruiser) so I had to use
the supplied extension arm which lifted it 10 or 15 cm higher.
The whole thing (as you know) plugs into the cigarrette lighter.
After about a week of use it began to move/rotate in the lighter socket - due to the weight of the iPod photo and the torque produced with the long
extension arm.
I drove around a corner (in a normal fashion) and the whole thing rotated in the socket throwing my Ipod onto the floor of the car - luckily no damage.
Disaster!
I sent it back to the supplier the next day.

Now I know your mini is not as heavy and you may not need to use the
extension arm, but just thought I'd warn you of my experience.

I had the same problem in my little Corolla with my Griffin Road Trip. I didn't have to wait a week for the rotation to start. It happened the first time I set ti up!

Solved ti by attaching a pair of small velcro patches, one to the back of the extension arm and the other where it touches the dashboard. I had to adjust the angles of the extension arm to produce a bit of pressure against the dashboard to keep the attachment, but once I had that right I have not had a problem since.
