Web access is through TCP/IP with configure DHCP
File sharing is through AppleTalk via ethernet
Apple's help on the iMac and the Performa advised to use USB Printer
Sharing from their respective Control panels (Classic's System for
the iMac). However, no success. Looking at Trouble shooting on the
OS 9.1 machine, the advise is that printer sharing will not work
over an AppleTalk network!!
My file sharing is through AppleTalk via ethernet. Is there a work-around?
Comment appreciated

Hi Merv,
I don't think USB Printer Sharing works from OSX to OS9.
I did get the reverse to work, printing from OS9 to a printer shared in OSX.

The following document indicates that in your situation, ie only an OS9
computer wishing to use the shared printer on the OSX computer, it should
work, providing you have enough RAM available on the OSX computer to keep
Classic running (I think Classic takes up 128 MB RAM when running).

Thank you both for responding. I went through the routine offered at
Artum=107060 and your reverse process Ronni, but no success.
When I check the System Profiler on the Performa, in the TCP/IP
section it is says USB printer sharing is running, but in the Summary
for USB Printers it says none available. What do I have to do to
make my printer on the iMac, through TCP/IP, available to the
Performa?
Any thoughts?
