Hi All
Sorry Forgot the subject.
I have an IMac running OS 9.2.2. I know very little about OS X but
will have to learn.
A friend of mine has an iMac successfully running OS X with
AppleWorks 6 and an Epson C63 printer..
A couple of days ago, we, as far as I know, successfully installed MS
Office 97/98 in his machine but my friend can not print any thing he
produces with it, because while his printer shows in the Chooser for
AW6 it has disappeared from the Chooser for MS Office.
Have thought of re-installing the printer driver but I doubt this is
necessary.
The solution is I am sure a very simple one but it eludes me.
Thank you for any advice.

John ,
As Reg said , the MS 97/98 will be running in Classic if OSX is the
operating system .
and if Appleworks 6 was installed as OSX application , that will be
picked up first and explains why
you would see printer as OSX printer .
Appleworks 6 may also be installed as OS9 version ... you have to
keep your wits about you
with these things. You can have both versions installed and that can
be a help with older files
which will not open with the Appleworks OSX version. ( Yes, the plot
thickens ) but will open through
Appleworks running in Classic.
What OS system is being used for Classic ? Is it the only OS9 on the
hard drive ?
You will need to find an OS9 driver for the Epson C63 and instal that
in the Classic OS !
That might not be an easy thing to do .
I am assuming the C63 is a USB printer , so if there is a Printer
driver for OS9 you may also
need USB extensions . It;s a while since I messed with this and have
forgotten .
