Hi Bob
Yes, I was wondering too !
From the replies I received from WAMUG members, it seemed the
consensus was to first try installing the appropriate Epson printer
driver in the Classic part of my friend's computer.
He is a senior & this is his first computer. In spite of my
assurance that it wouldn't', he was concerned that installing the
driver a second time might damage his machine.
I rang him this morning and I am pleased to tell you that he has now
successfully installed the driver in Classic , the icon appears in
Chooser and printing seems excellent .
Thank you to everyone for your most helpful suggestions..
Regards
John

Hi All
Sorry Forgot the subject.
I have an IMac running OS 9.2.2. I know very little about OS X
but will have to learn.
A friend of mine has an iMac successfully running OS X with
AppleWorks 6 and an Epson C63 printer..
A couple of days ago, we, as far as I know, successfully installed
MS Office 97/98 in his machine but my friend can not print any
thing he produces with it, because while his printer shows in the
Chooser for AW6 it has disappeared from the Chooser for MS Office.
Have thought of re-installing the printer driver but I doubt this
is necessary.
The solution is I am sure a very simple one but it eludes me.
Thank you for any advice.
Regards
