I read your email with great interest. I too had VWs for many years and
still miss those reliable air-cooled engines! In fact I sold my last VW in
2002 and did not have the courage to see the buyer take my trusted Camper
Van leave my drive-way.

I have also come to the conclusion that Virex, good as it was in the past,
has not kept with the times. Although I have been able to update my Virex
dat files, I now have ClaxXav and use it as my prime anti-viral application.

Sorry, but cannot advise you with regards to the infected files and folders.
My knowledge in this field is very limited. I hope someone will be able to
give you some appropriate advice.

Oh, yes it is a good idea to ensure one's outgoing mail is clean.
