I understand what Stuart is saying and it is a fact of life for an Apple
fan...there were quite a few times since I've lived in Australia (10 years)
where I have tried to order a laptop or a machine and there are none to be had
in Australia for weeks at a time. I purposely do NOT order from the Apple Store
online because they lie about delivery times, and at least I get honesty from my
local Apple Reseller (Hi Mike!).

We (Australia) are a small market and therefore it wouldn't be too much for
Apple Australia to arrange to divert some product our way to make sure that
stock is available within a reasonable amount of time.

This issue is by far the worst thing about being an Apple user. I hold Apple
Australia responsible. It is a terrible way of doing business and frankly, I
can't blame new potential mac users for remaining on the dark side...at least
they can get a PC when they need one.
