asking a favor if people can keep an eye out for two brand new G4
iBooks (A 12" and a 15" if my recollection is correct)
they have the following serial numbers:
4H6020MFSE9
and
4H6020SPSE9
the first may have some abrasion around the lock port from were they
might have cut or filed the lock off as they broke the desk
lockdown point and took it away with the security cable still on it.
the second of these will have some case damage from where they ripped
out the Kensignton lock breaking the case.
No setup CD's or manuals and the machines were set up to require
(local) log-in, which one or more will be (if not already
reformatted) "adm4sis", "adm4wks" and "mark".
it is possible that the people offering these for sale will have a
number of other Windows and Mac laptops, LCD screens and data
projectors as other premises and buildings around this area were
targeted the same night.
I have forwarded the serial numbers on to Apple for their service
centers to watch out for but please report any suspicious machines to
the police.
