Hi everyone,

I have always believed that I should not attach a photo, jpeg or other, from
a Mac to a PC without removing the resource (fork) because the PC user could
not open it. I have used two programs for this, one being Graphic Converter
which can save a photo <Web ready without resource"> before emailing it.

Another one is Mail Pictures (EX X & GC) which also uses GC in the
background to resize a photo and remove the resources. You can also choose
the size of the photo to be sent.

However I have the Epson Photosmart software and it attaches a photo to an
email but does not change it. At least it does not say so. I have
experimented by sending a photo to a few PC users and they can all open
them.

Is this removing the resource fork necessary these days or not? Or do I have
the bull by the wrong end?
