Hi, it seems to be particularly critical to do the first tuning in of stations using your house arial. Any other sort of arial just doesn't bring in a strong enough signal. You also need to use the software to do an exhaustive scan to get all of the stations, which takes some time. Having tuned in the stations using a maximum strength signal, you may be able to use it with the little arial, but maybe not.

I've been using the EyeTV hardware for a couple of years, and this is from experience.

Hi Tony,

Use a better antenna than the one in the box. I couldn't get 7 or 9 depending on which way the dinky antenna that comes with it. Plugged in some rabbit ears that had a tuning dial, and I could get the lot.

I have found Digital TV reception anywhere west of the freeway seems to suck in Perth :-)
