According to a newsletter produced by Randy B. Singer (a lawyer in the USA)
" Note that Boot Camp isn't the perfect solution for users who want to run both Windows and OS X on their Macintosh. You can only boot (startup) into one operating system at a time; you can't run Windows in a separate window while you are running OS X, as you could with VirtualPC, and you can't cut and paste between the two environments. So, this is big news! But here is bigger news from a third-party developer. Parallels, announced soon after Boot Camp was announced, is a product that lets you run Windows XP in a window while you are running OS X, both running at full hardware speed at the same time! This product eclipses Boot Camp! Parallels allows your Intel-based Mac to run the entire Windows family (not just Windows XP). - 3.1, 3.11, 95, 98, Me, 2000, XP and 2003, even Linux, OS/2, and MS-DOS. The price is only $50. There is a downloadable 45-day trial version of Parallels available for free. Parallels <http://www.parallels.com/en/news/id,8655> <http://www.parallels.com/en/download/mac/> Note that both Parallels and Boot Camp are currently in the beta stage. So if you try one or both of them, be aware that they aren't necessarily of commercial quality yet. There are other products coming down the road that will allow you to run Windows software on your Macintosh. There is even the possibility that in the near future Macs will be able to run Windows applications without the need for Windows at all!"
