Hi Kevin

Something else you could try (maybe as a last ditch effort) is to boot the
"troublesome" G4 into Firewire Target Mode (restart, hold down the T key
with a Firewire cable plugged in). Once you see the little Firewire symbol
bouncing around the screen, plug the other end of the Firewire cable into
one of the other working G4 towers. (with the second G4 running).

Then load the OS as you would normally (eg it will reboot off the CD for you
to install the OS), but instead of choosing the Hard Drive that already has
it, choose the "troublesome" G4's Hard Drive and see if that works.
All going well it should run through the installer.

If you find it still doesn't work, then I'm pretty sure that would be sign
that there is some form of hardware issue on the "troublesome" G4.

I've done that for a couple of machines that didn't want to play nice, or it
was a work around for not having a DVD drive for Tiger (or something
similar). That seems to work sometimes.

Hope that makes sense. (Brain's not into gear too well today,...might be
time for some food,..hehehe.)

Oh, you could also try loading OS9 and make sure the Firmware is up to date
on the "troublesome G4". That might be something as well.

Hope that helps.

Kind Regards
Daniel
