get a new one - mine similarly lost scroll(up) recently and was
replaced under warranty - no problem.
(it had to be replaced through an Apple service centre although I had
bought it from the on-line Apple store but that wasn't a hassle)
the fault _was_ terminal ie: restarts etc didn't fix things although
minor glitches had been solved that way in the past.
