I have often had the same problem and the majority of the time a
restart fixes it and I can read them all again.

Hi Severin, I had, and still partially have, the same problem, I
don't know for sure but I " Think " I imported mail from my old
"classic" " Explorer 5.2 " into my " mail 2.0.7 " and then couldn't
read all my "sent" messages, and like you after changing all sorts ( I
got totally confused ) I knocked the "au" off my email address in the
mail prefs box, and it seems to be working now, although I still have
the " needs to be down loaded from the server " on messages from
15/may to 27/May, ( that was the time I was completely lost !! ) other
than that its now working great.
I have learnt one thing from it, don't mess with things you don't
know anything about !!
BUT I would like to know why I can't read between those dates, maybe I
will never know !!!!
I wish you could remember just what you " pushed & poked to put yours
right. "

Someone up there loves me, hallelujah! I have timidly pushed and
poked rather aimlessly and behold they are all back again.
That seems like a divine message to quit for the day now while I am
ahead!
