using my old iPod (FireWire G3) to boot the G3/G4 macs has been an
invaluable part of my support toolkit for some time.
I've now splurged on a new 60GB iPod Video which is initially going
to be used to backup pictures from my digital camera/laptop while I'm
overseas next month but would like to use it for building a boot
system for the new Intel Macs we are starting to buy here at work
(and eventually will buy one myself)
So want to install a full OSX system on it to boot and a SOE disk
image for imaging new machines
is this possible?
has anybody on list done this (or at least the boot from iPod part)?
any provisos/ cravats etc to be aware of?
thanks
