Hi John, Kevin & Robert & WAMUG'ers,

Many thanks for the comments and suggestions. I am reading through Robert's
notes with regards to cleaning the nozzles, and failing this I will see if
the firm in Mt Hawthorn can help.

Must say that whilst it worked, the CX5300 was fantastic. I am currently
using it to digitize my old photos - have done hundreds so far.

If for some reason the printer cannot be fixed cheaply, either by myself or
the Mt Hawthorn firm, then I'll use it only as a scanner albeit a big one!!
Might impress those who do not know anything about such devices!!

With regard to the HP 14XX series, well Kevin, my wife was only just asking
me to get her a printer ....... Just wished I had read your email before
going shopping this afternoon. I will look at it and make her happy during
the week.

Thanks again guys. I do appreciate the rapid response and your ideas.

Kind regards to all,

Philippe
