Hi folks,
I have a eMac 1.25 with OSX 10.4.7 (or whatever is the latest update).
I purchased a Logitech Quickcam and just installed the software from
the CD.
I was asked to restart the Mac which I did.
Problem was it only got partway through the startup.
The blue bar filled from left to right but then went no further, no
desktop even !!
I switched off the power, waited a few seconds and restarted again
with same result.
I switched off the power and restarted again, this time holding down
the C key in order to get the drive open so I could insert the system
CD. This did not work.
Then I realised that I should have held the mouse button down, so I
repeated the restart and did so.
This time it started normally.
I have started it again since that with no problem.
I have run a virus check with Intego but nothing has been detected.
Can anyone throw any light on this ? or
Is there something I should do to safeguard against this ?
