Mail.app query

Ever since I revised my spam rules, (i.e. deleted them and recreated  
them with the same conditions) all my sent mail gets marked as junk  
(but stays in the Sent folder)

Its not a problem as I rarely keep my sent mail, but it is irritating  
me as it shouldn't happen.

Any suggestions?
