Scanner for slides and photos

I wish to scan and burn to CD my home collection of personal 35mm  
slides and photos. Any recommendations for a scanner? This is not a  
highly professional operation, just home use. I have tried to look at  
the archives but I am unable to find anything at all within the last  
18 months. Obviously I am incompetent at using the archives! Using OS  
X 10.4.7 on a TiPB 867 [which means USB 1.1].
