I'm sorry that I do not have the solution that you are looking for. But I
have a problem quite similar to yours but in my case the screen is a bit too
low and using my multifocal glasses is a little bit annoying.

My solution was to use a reading glass only when working on the computer.
This is permanently by the computer. That does the trick. My other solution
would have been to find a base wide enough to hold the screen, but that
would entail moving the computer, but where? My desk is already chocker
block full of gizmos ..... With just enough space to put my reading
glasses!!!
