Severin, I use iDVD all the time and have them set to play when inserted. When you open a new project select any Theme you like then go >View>Show Map, the top window in Map will have "Drag contents here to play automatically etc." At the bottom select "Media" (Far right) and then at the top select "Movies". drag the required movie (which you should have in the Movie Folder) to the appropriate place and thats about all there is to it.

Its probably good form to give the movie a name in the theme as you can get to it by selecting Menu on the Player.

Its a while since I have done one so I hope the above is all correct, in any case it shouldn't be far off the mark.

Regards

Adrian.

I have burned a DVD from an iMovie project using Toast 7. It plays perfectly in my DVD player. DVD player in OSX is odd. If I insert the disc and DVD Player opens automatically (as I have it set to do) it plays fine. However, if DVD Player is running and I insert the disc and try to start it from File/Open it is unrecognised.
Can anyone fill me in on this oddity, please?
By way of explanation, I used Toast rather than iDVD because I want a simple disc that is plug and play with no navigation and no fancy stuff. iDVD is great but I wish there were a way to use it without having all the embellishments, I have yet to find a way to bypass them.
