You need to go back to the later years of the Menzie's government to
see how he used a clause in the Constitution to supply science labs
to schools. From little things big things grow.
I think this forum is a good one to discuss the merits and the how to
of using laptops in schools, but let it be a discussion that is
party-political free.

AND
I wonder where he is going to get all the dollars that will be needed
for the software to go with those laptops , or are they really
going to be Desktops ?
PLUS all the dollars needed to instruct the teachers on how to Teach
the students ..
or perhaps it will be the students teaching the Teachers .
Just how is it that the COMMONWEALTH GOVERNMENT is involving itself
in a STATE GOVERNMENT function !
WHY are we not pounding the STATE GOVERNMENT to meet it's responsibilities ?
And let's not steal that money out of the Future Fund , the fund
for the government employee's.
What we need also is a Future Fund to pay for the ordinary man's pension .
That's a Commonwealth function !
