Hi Chris As has been montioned before, Firewire is the way to go if you're dealing in anything large, or large content of files. USB2 will give you a headache, and in some instances, crash or cause other problems. Although the drives are cheap for the size, personally I always find you're better to spend the extra to get Firewire if you can. For the extra you spend in getting it you'll save in time and money and frustration.
For a MyBook Studio Edition 1TB you would be looking at a retail of $449.99. This has the quad interface of USB2, Firewire400, Firewire800 and eSATA.
