This is a question for VMWare themselves. It's really question of how
your game is talking to the graphics driver in VMWare. The secret may
be in the game specs: "Not compatible with all integrated sound/
graphics solutions including laptops.". The iMac is definitely an
integrated graphics solution (ie, you can't swap the graphics card
with another one).
This is one of the limitations with running Windows software on a Mac
(particularly games, which are often pitched at hardcore gamers who
spend their lives at the cutting edge, swapping the latest hardware in
and out of their computers).
Instead of looking the specs of your Mac as they appear in, say,
System Profiler, you should be looking at the Device Manager (My
Computer > Properties > Device Manager tab) in your Windows
installation. This will tell you what graphics hardware Wndows thinks
it is running.
Golden Rule number 1: never use the word "Macintosh" in a sentence
when you're to to a Windows support person. It's the perfect way out
for them.
