I must say they are the clearest, most up to date photos of a friends renovations that I have seen, not sure if that is good or not really .... Extending communication between friends, or just expressing how long it takes sometimes to see each other, scary either way really.

Street view for Australia went live this morning.

maps.google.com

search for a location eg house address and click on Street View.

It seems to have been quite a cloudy day when they took the pics around my way. Scrolling around the pic, I can see newspaper on our driveway, my neighbour cutting the lawn edges and the top of the camera car.

Hi Warren & Severin,

If you use Google Earth v4.3.7, you can get Street View of an Address.
Type in the Address (or if you have addresses in 'My Places').
Go to the Address
and then Under Layers - tick 'Street View' and it will take you to the address and then you click a camera.

My goodness, my sister who lives in Melbourne was actually home on this day .... which is unusual
I was out at my Address .... which is unusual ;-)

Cheers,
Ronni
