may I suggest you go naked?
Having gone with iiNet's naked I would not go back to Telstra. $50
per month gives me 2Gb peak + 2Gb off peak which is shaped if you go
over. This ADSL2+ is very fast. Even in shaped mode the speed is more
than adequate for web surfing.
The $50 includes line rental - no more do I get slugged an additional
$30 from telstra for a line into my home.
The $50 also includes unlimited local and interstate call. Relatively
cheap overseas and mobile calls as well.
I also get free additions like Caller ID which previously cost me $6
per month and free voice messages which are e-mailed to me and so I
can receive messages at work.
All of this for less than what you were spending on DSL alone.
