Hi Chris,
Always include file extensions at the end of a file's name
e.g. .jpg .pdf.
The problem is that their mail program is set to display everything
as HTML email, and they may have no ability to change it to Plain
Text.
So your images are interpreted as being "inline" and not separate
items apart from the message itself.
To be certain that a graphic does not appear inline, you must
compress the file before attaching it.
Mail, lacks a built-in compression option.
Under Tiger, the easiest way to compress a file (in Windows-friendly
Zip format) is to select the file in the Finder and choose File >
Create Archive of filename.
Under Leopard, select the file in the Finder and choose File >
Compress.
Attach that to your email to them, and they will get it as an
attachment.
Cheers,
Ronni

Yes, that right! That's exactly what my client said. It was
embedded in the email. How do you un-embed it and just make it like
a normal attachment? Does it have something to do with Windows
suffixes?
Thanks Chris G

I had this problem recently Chris, ie. someone telling me the
attachment wasn't received, when it was clearly included in the
sent message. The recipient later confirmed that it was, it's just
that it was embedded in the email unlike a normal attachment -
something like that anyway.

My apologies if this has come up before.
Sometimes when I send attachments to the dark side they
disappear. They just don't receive them.
I have marked 'Send Windows-friendly attachments' and also
'Insert attachments at end of message' which are the suggestions
(from the mail help) for this problem but I still get clients
missing attachments.
Any ideas greatly appreciated!
