Time Machine Erased drive not recognised on Windows

Hi WAMUGers I had one of my laptop boys bring in A WD porttable hard drive. We told Time Machine to use it and Time Machine erased (reformatted it). Now Mum is complaining that their Home PC wont recognise the drive.
