Short answer YES .
You need to determine what formatting it currently has .... Disk
Utility will tell you ,
Then determine what the Home PC will recognise ! ?
The PC may see Fat32 , or it may need NTFS
Then reformat the drive so the PC will see it .
Now comes the sticky bit .. if it is NTFS your mac will most likely
not write to it :
can read it , but not write to it
unless you do a work around with a 3rd party software .
I don't know how the 3rd party would go with Time Machine .
If you wish to go down that path do your homework on MacFuse and
NTFS-3G
Have fun

Hi WAMUGers
I had one of my laptop boys bring in A WD porttable hard drive.
We told Time Machine to use it and Time Machine erased (reformatted
it).
Now Mum is complaining that their Home PC wont recognise the drive.
Please is there a solution?
